I watched those bodies burn
I set those homes ablaze
And still my heart pounds
And still my head aches
I sank the knife into his chest
I watched the blood pour over
The light it left his eyes
That moment was frozen in time
These words they tremble from my lips
Searching for an answer
I never really stopped to think
And I'm deaf to reason
I let the thought sink in
How blind is one to
Assume that everything's okay
Light the torch, burn it down
Spill the blood, let me drown
Just pretend it's all a dream
I stare out blankly
The window smashed in front of me
How could this happen
How could this happen to me
You'll soon learn
That everything ends
And everything dies
Screamo, post-rock, and a little black metal meld together for Virginia quartet Infant Island's signature immersive and melancholy sound. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 28, 2020

One of the most consistent, pummeling, noisy metal records I've heard in a long time. Blows me away consistently with ferocious vocals and screeching riffs. Incredible stuff. amoebicmint
